the "Operation" is almost complete

Well, we have nearly finished the shopping for Gabe's birthday gift, he chose to ask for money and small items to package up for Operation Christmas Child. It is a great group of volunteers, and they bring great joy to many children around the world every year, so we were excited to be able to be a part of it. Gabe got quite a bit of money so we headed off to Target and the craft store for goodies and fun stuff to fill 3 plastic shoe boxes. We got bargains on fun socks, notebooks, pencils, coloring sets and small toys. People had also brought puzzles, balls, and other small things to the party and they have been added, there was a lot of stuff, and the last thing each will get is a note from the girls saying that Jesus loves them, and so do we! We also included some necklaces we had made with Kidist, we went and bought some silver crosses at the craft store and made beaded necklaces for each child too, all in all a very fun filled box!! I will post pics of the goodies later, but they are almost ready to go, and I am proud of my little man for being willing to give up many items that he really would have rather kept, but he wanted another kid to feel excited and loved when they got to open up gifts too, so he let things go, what a sweet big boy!
