We had great night last night, The Zoo was holding a special evening for patients os Hasbro Children' s Hospital. The Afternoon started was a little busy and we ended up rushing out of the house with out dinner. I guessed we would have to eat at the zoo, and we found out they also fed us, Hot dogs and Hamburgers with Salad and drinks even Newport Creamery Ice Cream. Yummy!!!
We where amazed at how much the zoo comes to life at night( i think that feeding time is around 6pm has something to do with that.The kids finally got to see the Harbor seals out of the water doing a few tricks for food. Gabe was Awed by the Giraffe's as he looked with Mommy.
We also saw a lot of animals out with the zookeepers Jamie's Favorite was the Tortoise and the Bull( you can see the bulls snout in the left bottom corner of the photo). The tortoise was eating the lettuce and the bull kept trying to taste it In till the tortoise took a great big snapping bite and scared the big bull. ha ha ha it was funny to see this bull so lager compared to the tortoise hop back and try to run away.
they also had performers out around the park to entertain everyone like a young man doing a kind of magic performance with smoke filled bubbles. he was very good and the girls loved watching as he would take bubbles and blow them bigger while holding them in his hands the pop them releasing a big puff of smoke.
we All stooped at a bubble station ourselves on the way out and played bubbles it was a great time had by all we love the zoo anyway but to be part of a special evening like this was very magical...and as always God bless and see ya soon Jon
