Ever have that sinking feeling??!

Did you ever have that sinking feeling, you know the one, not in the heart region, but lower, very low, like in your foot. . . when you are driving your kids home from playgroup in the hilliest city on the East Coast??!!!! Yes, that feeling, the one you just had reading this, the feeling that your brakes just gave out, and you're at the top of a very long hill. I had that feeling earlier today! Thankfully I managed to pull off into a small side street with few cars, and drove the car onto the grassy curb to stop, heart racing and hands shaking, stomach lurching, YIKES!!! I immediately did what every wife would do, almost burst into tears and called my dear hubby. Jon came and rescued me and the kids and drove our poor, barely braking car home, with me following wringing my hands and worrying the whole way. Now he will be going out to fix the brake line that let go, genius that he is, thanks Babe!! So that is how I started my day today, what a nice week opener, it can only go up from there right??!!??
Easter was great by the way as you saw the kids looked fab in their Easter outfits, and had a blast looking for eggs and playing with bubbles, and gorging on lobster(yes we had lobster, when gramma cooks she gets to pick the menu;) Once G got the hang of finding eggs he became a champ, he creeped around with his head upside down searching for any hidden eggs in Gramma and Grampa's garden, since the rascally bunny had hidden them under planters, and inside bits of log. the kids had to hustle though, as the squirrels were closing in and were intent on stealing the goodies, plastic egg and all!! So a great weekend was had in our house, and now I have 3 tired and grouchy kiddos, what fun:)!!!
