The Nutcracker was wonderful, the costumes sparkled and glowed, and the dancers were magnificent in their leaps and plies. Julianna really enjoyed the excitement and her new holiday dress!! The story line was a bit different than the original story, but once the ballerinas started dancing Julianna was entranced. She recognized the music as the same in her music box, and knew who the different dancers in their costumes were. She will now practice her dancing lots so she can grow up to be a Prima Ballerina and dance as the Sugar Plum Fairy!! Jon and I were wowed by the power and grace of the dancers, and laughed because we always say that the female dance always has to do all of the work, and the man just stands there, turns her, stops her, and makes her look good, and this was true in the ballet too!! Except that the a few of the men got to do their own dances, and they were fantastic!! All in all it was a wonderful ballet, and will possibly become a holiday tradition!! Now I am off to shovel snow, and maybe get to work, but not even close to on time!!!! J
