Everyone says that i will know when i am turning 30, i will start to feel older, and realize life is passing by. I don't feel any older, now granted my bday is in a few days, but i feel no different, if anything i often feel too young to have a 4 1/2 year old, and 2 more on the way. I feel too young to have been married almost 7 years, and i have recently done the website living to 100, and it tells me i may live to be 97, yikes, that's old!!! I am amazed by all that i have learned in the 30 years i have lived, and to think that i am only a 3rd done!!! maybe it is an outlook on life, there is a song by Rascal Flatts that says "you don't look a day over fast cars and freedom!" and that is how i feel most days, like i am still a young and crazy girl, and i hope to feel that way for many years to come. I do realize that life is passing by though, as Jon stated earlier a very dear freind of mine passed away recently, leaving her two beautiful girls to determine how to get through life without her guidance. I am greiving for the loss of her friendship, but more for their loss, how much they will never know and how much they will need her, even as adults, and she will not be there to guide and comfort, and so for them i worry and grieve. Thank you Cindy for the lessons on living and loving life, and for your boundless spirit and huge laugh that could ring out and light up a room, you will be missed, and i will continue in the role of "older sister" and keep watchover your gorgeous girls. so time is passing, and life with it, and this is one of the reasons that i appreciate our decision to grow our family and stay close by homeschooling. we are teaching julianna to appreciate many things that are small and easily passed by, and she is teaching us to find those little treasures too. and we never miss an important milestone or an opportunity to cuddle and kiss.
as an update on the homeschool front, julianna can identify almost all of the letters of the alphabet, can write many of them and can spell a 4 or 5 letter word, or sound out the word if you give her the letters, like r-a-t-s, c-a-t-s, c-a-p-s, t-i-g-e-r, and can spell kitten, dragon, dog, cat, grammy, pop, nana, and many more, so she is doing really well, and we are very entertaining while grocery shopping as this is when we act out our spelling words. i am not sure if they are awed or appalled, but people always watch with an open mouthed look when we really get into our spelling list, and julianna calls our excitedly that R says roar, and A says AAAAAA, T says Tiger, and S is for SSSSSSnake, that spells RATS. said with all the drama a 35lb 4 YO can muster(which is a lot)and is accompanied by a hand on hips, stomp the foot, scowl on the face gestures, then she busts up laughing, and the drama continues over in the cereal aisle with BATS(imagine an ear piercing shriek that accompanies this one!)
have to go, the zoo animals are trying to take over the laptop, with julianna as their leader, and i need to go get ready for one of my very last wednesdays working, love to all, jamie
