The Very Fun Museum

The Very Happy Children

The Very Nice Story Time
The Very Fun Toys
The Very Sweet Children
The Very Chatty Husbands

If you had not guessed, this is the post about our adventure last weekend to the Eric Carle Picture Book Museum.  It was great, we really enjoyed all of the illustrator's exhibited there, the drawings were amazing and many of the books featured were new to us, so a great resource for the mommy who is always on the hunt for new exciting reading material.  The kids had a blast looking at the pictures and reading the stories scattered about the galleries, then we headed out to the library, AWESOME!!!  They had such great books, so many that are not printed any more, they choose wonderful stories with amazing illustrations, art in a book format!  It was such fun to wander and pick out interesting looking titles, or colorful covers and read the book, and they had fun toys, animals, and comfy chairs for chatty daddies to lounge in too, perfect!!!!!  Mia had such a good time reading with Miss Kate, and Antone, and he is sweet on her, Mia's first crush, a sweet little younger man, awwwwwww.
The kids fave part of the whole museum had to be the art room, there they got to cut, tear, and glue to their hearts content, making a mess, and turning it into collage art, and we made some cool pics, I am going to frame them and take pics(coming soon).  We had, of course:-), been studying Eric Carle and his style of collage art, so the kids knew how to do it, so they jumped right in and started tearing and planning their page, is was such fun.  While our pictures were drying out a bit(Gabe is a heavy handed gluer:-), we headed to the museum shop, filled with amazing toys, cool books, art and anything picture book related, they also carry awesome artist coloring books, way cool stickers, how to draw and do art books, and funniest of all famous paintings in temp tattoos.  How cool is that, I could sport a Van Gogh on my bicep for a few days, or a Dali, melting around my ankle for a while, so fun!!!
It really was a great day, and if you happen to be wandering around Western MA and looking for something to do, check it out, it is Very, Very, Fun;-)

We loved it too! Antone really liked the art room too, as he alternated between coloring and sampling different crayon flavors :)
