playing hooky!
Some days are made for playing hooky. Friday was one of those days for us, we had nothing going on, had no need to leave the house for anything, and Mia was still a bit sick, so we had a skip day for school. Now, the homeschool police, and DSS may now be planning a raid on my house, but really, it is no big deal. We homeschool year round, kids lose too much with a long break, so a few days here and there for an unplanned day of play is all good in my opinion. I needed a break, and the kids had a fun day playing Legos, making cards ans signs for Jon's Appreciation Day dinner, and helping make dinner stuff. They read books for a few hours, and sang and danced an hour away too, so all in all, it was a great day! I got a chance to just relax, enjoy the kids and read a good book, ahhhh, a vacation day is better when unexpected.
