A nice payback

This is so cool, in my humble opinion:
On Sunday Jon and I were having a cup of coffee in the cafe before church, and the Pastor walked over and sat down with us. We have met him a few times, but he actually remembered our names, I was impressed, but then he blew me away, a few weeks before we had a bunch of baptisms, and so of course there were lots of family there to celebrate. One young couple came to see a father get baptized, and they brought their little boy, he was adorable, but as a 15 month old boy, not willing to sit for long quietly, so before he totally disrupted the whole service, I took the young mother and little guy back to the mothers room, there they could watch the sermon and hear it, but not be heard by the rest of the congregation. Well, the Pastor actually sought us out on Sunday to thank me for doing that, he actually recognized that it was me who had gone over and offered help to this poor young mom, and he was thankful that he had not had to make the girl feel bad by offering assistance from the pulpit. I was amazed that he remembered, and touched that he thought it important enough to remark upon, and as fate would have it that same young woman came and sat right in front of us again, only her 2nd visit, and right by us again, and this time she knew right where to take her restless little guy. She smiled over her shoulder at me as she headed down the aisle toward the mothers room this time, and in time I am sure she will pay it forward to another mom with a restless baby, just as someone did for me months ago when G needed a break:)!!

BY THE WAY: Did you happen to notice that an Ethiopian man won the Boston Marathon, he ran the 26+ miles in 2 hours 8 minutes :0(wow that is fast!!), and a Kenyan woman won the ladies division with an Ethiopian woman in a close second. My little girl may join them someday, she can run like the wind!! She is psyched to start training for the kids 200m in the fall before Jons' big race;)!!
