Well we have a busy weekend planned, a very extensive schedule is now emerging to run our lives, Gabe will soon have 3 therapy appts per week, and one swim class as well starting in September, Yikes!! Plus going to the gym, any gymnastics, church classes, and homeschool we are a busy crew!
Gabe ahs recently been really progressing in his language development, he is doing really well with remembering animal names and sounds, not a huge feat but when English is your 3rd language, and you ahve only been speaking inteligible words for 7 months it is big. His therapist Diana thinks it is so cute how he will give the sign for help, and say "help, please!" . She is impressed with his memory from week to week too.
Julianna has in the last 2 weeks lost both front bottom teeth, she is so excited, and our Tooth Fairy is so cool she left Disney dollars, for use in Disney next January. The girls have both been working and doing chores to earn tickets toward Disney dollars for the trip, they cannot wait to spend their hard earned money!!
Amelia is very artistic it turns out, the other day we were playing with playdough and she got busy and made a tiny secret garden, complete with flowers, leaves, and even a mini squirrel, so sweet. She did this with no prompting, just made it. She needs very little direction when it comes to art and creative things, jsut help understanding why I want her to put glue on a brush, then onto paper, for collaging.
Life around here has been mch calmer and smoother in the last 2 weeks, since we ahve made overhauls to our methods, and the kids are responding well to having extra responsibilities spelled out to them. We have very few problems with tidying up now, and each girl understands her work to do, and even Gabe gets his chores pretty well done. Lately this is what we have been working on, understanding and following through on directions, a problem in our house at times. But at night we now have a tidier house, so I am happy for this!
Now I ahve to go as I have kids in need of a snack, my juicing has been going very well, and the garden producing much fruit for the juicer.Jamie
