We finally did, we signed Julianna up for swimming lessons! Well Jon did, he went to the Y yesterday, and they had a class starting today, so he signed Julianna up. This morning we got up early, Yawn 8am is very early to us! Off we went to the Y for swim lessons, Julianna was 1 of 3 in the class, and she did great, despite some initial apprehensiveness. Julianna learned to kick, paddle and lay on her back, the instructor is very good, and Julianna seems to trust her, this is good since she is a pretty cautious girl. This summer it became apparent to Jon and I that if she was to learn to swim, someone else would have to give the lessons, she won't even lie back in the tub with a inch of water in it!! She did it though, she is now a swimmer, sort of a tadpole like swimmer, bobbing along with her floaty bubble on her back, paddling furiously with only one arm, the other is clinging like an octopus to the instructor. Julianna did seem to enjoy the lesson, and was even interested in coming back, once she was out of the pool and in the warm shower!!
I will have Jon post a pic of her first swim lesson(I am such a dorky mom I took a bunch of pics), Julianna almost drowned herself trying to wave at the camera and float on her back, I will not post this one or the one right after this one, since in the second pic she looks half drowned and terrified, and is clinging like a barnacle to the instructor!!!LOL!!!

YEAH!!!!!!! Julianna, Grammy is so proud of you. Swimming in a pool..How fantastic. You will have to tell me all about it tomorrow. I can't wait to hear about your adventure!!!! This means next summer we can go swimming at the beach.... with your brother and sister or sisters or brothers...... who know what choices God has graced your family with, correction, our family with. Whomever comes into our lives will come with complete and total love. Imagine you will be able to teach your siblings to swim!!! Yeah.... We are surrounded by water and swimming is such a necessity.... You will be able to share this beautiful water state with your new family, because, you can swim and won't be afraid of the water.... Just think the next time you go to disney .... You get to swim with the dolphins!!!!! Hurray!!!! Love, Grammy
