Jon, Julianna and I just had a fun summer getaway to VT. We went up on Tuesday late morning and came home on Wednesday in the afternoon. On Tue. we went out to the Village Cheese factory, and of course had to catch up with an old friend of my mom's. Then on the way back Jon and Julianna decided to walk along the paths by the river thru the old covered bridge. at the bend in the river the water slows down and widens, and Julianna found to her great delight that there were tons of tadpoles in the water!! She had a blast chasing tadpoles and touching them, and I showed her a few that were part way through getting their legs, which she thought was very cool. Then Jon found some big polly wogs that were very hard to catch, but were cool to watch. Then we were off to the village store to get an ice cream, yum is there anything better than Drumsticks on a hot say! With ice cream inhand we headed off to the grade school to play on the swing sets. When we got there we found to our delight they had updated all the playground equipment and they had lots of funthings to climb and swing on. Then we were off to explore the pond behind the school, and found tons of frogs and BIG tadpoles, very cool. That evening we had a BBQ at my Aunt Linda and Uncle Norm's, in spite of the sudden deluge, and Craig brought Colin by, and Beht came with McKade and Bree, so Julianna had a blast playing with all of her cousins. She is thrilled that Bree is bigger and can play and be a girl with her now.
Wednesday morning we had a great time visiting Beth and the kids at home, Julianna practiced being a big sister to Bree by helping her down stairs, and holding her hand to keep her from falling. Julianna had sucha fun time playing and is looking forward to seeing them all again in a few weeks for Aunt Kay's wedding.
All in all it was a short but fun trip back home, and Julianna got to have fun, and spend a day just like Tia and I did when we were little girls on hot summer day. I love going home and I love immersing myself in the quieter pace and simplicity of being there and just enjoying being a kid again for a bit.

On a sadder note we are asking any who pray to say a prayer for the people who were injured or killed in the bridge collapse in MN. The accident happened only a mile from where our adoption agency is located, and many of our forum friends live very near to the site. So far all have checked in and are fine, but there are still people missing and unaccounted for, so please pray for them.
Thank you, and God bless Jamie
