Well, last weekend my cousin Kay got married in Maine. I love family weddings! They are so much fun, with all the cousins, aunts, uncles, and kiddos all together. It was great, and Dave(the groom) has a big family too so they all had kids to play with. What fun, Julianna loved playing with all of her cousins, and really remembered them well, and they all had a great time playing chase and tag, and danced. They remind me of our fun family get together's as kids, even down to Julianna mauling and loving on Colin like we used to do to Craig(Colin's daddy). But Colin seemed as taken with Julianna as she was with him, and she now has the dilemma of who to marry, Colin or Billy(her imaginary boyfriend!). I think the best part of family weddings is that everyone takes care of each other's kids, and they all get watched and played with and well fed by everyone. Especially Bree, who was like a baby bird for 1/2 the evening. I even bribed her into dancing with me because I had fed her crackers and fruit!! Soon we will post a pic of all of the little ones together in their party clothes acting nicely for the 45seconds it took to get the shot!!
So back to the wedding, it was very nice, if a bit cool in Julie's opinion!! The bride and groom looked lovely, the wedding party look great, and the reception was fun. So all in all a successful wedding, with fun and lots of tired(dancing) feet, and happy sleepy babes!! A good time!
Will blog more later right now we are off to volunteer at a soup kitchen with our church, Gotta go!! Love Jamie
