needed here

Well, last week was a bumpy one for the household, since on Monday Jon was informed that h"he was no longer needed" at his part time job, that had become a full time job.  Non longer needed, this is the man who delivered meds to homebound little old ladies and nursing home patients, who remembered their names, learned some Portuguese to speak to them better, and was willing to stay late and help try to make the processes there run more efficiently, but he was not needed!!!  What he was was too good, really, he is very good at what he does, and his manager felt threatened, for no good reason, but there you go, " not needed".
Well, I am happy to say that he is needed, at our house he is very needed, who else is willing to make city scapes and ray gun armed, blaster enabled, armada toting, fighter planes from far away galaxies.  Who else is willing to deem the city scapes ready for total annihilation, then make some freaky good sound effects to mark the destruction sequence, mommy is not that good!!!  Daddy is needed to play scrabble junior, and keep the little man from cheating, and keep eldest from giving herself too many word scores "accidentally":-)  He is needed to be there to practice reading with, to show off new art projects to, and just hang with, he is needed for me to talk to, a real, more-than-2-minutes-and-he-is-out-the-door, kind of conversation.
He is needed here, and so here is where he is, here is where he is happy, and here is where we have faith that we will figure this all out, so we need him here, and they have lost an exceptional man there.
