Every new mommy deserves a shower, and so Amanda and decided to give Kate one at the last minute, since her family had not been able to put one together on short notice. Amanda brought the booty, seriously she emptied her house out into her car, unpacking was like going into Mary Poppins carpet bag, there seemed to be no end to the amount of stuff that could come out!
The kids all played and tried out the new play yard and slide, and we chatted and told Kate and Jeff all of the travel tips we could think of, all while being insanely jealous of their upcoming trip and wishing we could go back(at least I was, not sure about Amanda:)
We all had a great time, and the kids had such a blast, they love to play together, and cannot wait until baby Esther is bigger, and Antone can walk, then they too will be added into our crazy little play group!
As I write this Kate and Jeff are finishing their last things up at home before leaving for the airport, and will return home changed, both in title and in heart. They will be forever changed by a 10 day trip 1/2 way around the world, an will be forever grateful for the opportunity to go and find new love, and a renewed sense of purpose. We will miss them while they are gone, and be so glad when they get home,
